Quick and easy, this delectable stir-fry makes for a healthy and tasty meal.
Serves 8
Ingredients
- 1 lb. steak (I like sirloin, flank or skirt steak for this)
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 3 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 medium red bell pepper
- 2 tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce
Instructions
- Slice the steak into thin strips. Season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meat and cook until brown, about 5 minutes.
- While the meat is browning, chop the cabbage and slice the bell pepper into strips. Remove browned meat from the skillet and set aside. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the cabbage and the pepper strips to the skillet and sauté until the cabbage and peppers are wilted and slightly charred, about 10 minutes.
- Return the meat to the pan, stir in the soy sauce and cook 1–2 minutes.
- Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Enjoy!
